Project OSCAR (Outdoor Sweeping and Cleaning Autonomous Robot)

Project OSCAR is the most complex and interesting project I have worked on thus far. It is part of my final year Capstone project at SUTD. In this project, I had the privilege of working with six other team members who are each extremely competent in their respective field. I learnt a lot about project management through this project.

As the name implies, project OSCAR aims to design and fabricate an autonomous outdoor cleaning robot from the ground up. This is done with the support of Lionsbot, a cleaning robot company, to help them explore the feasibility of outdoor autonomy.

In this project, I designed and fabricated the cleaning mechanism as well as the electrical systems of the robot. I was also involved in the coding for the embedded systems and the ROS (Robot Operating System) integration.
